Melissa Cobb
Principal, Vice President
Melissa Cobb is Principal and Vice President in mcg’s Cleveland office, where she has been a driving force since 2002. Starting her career with the firm as a Project Specialist, Melissa has steadily advanced through a variety of roles, building a deep understanding of the business and a strong foundation in project delivery and leadership.
In her current role, Melissa is responsible for setting strategic goals and overseeing office operations to ensure alignment with mcg’s mission, values, and long-term vision. She works closely with Project Directors to ensure the successful execution of projects—on time, on budget, and with a focus on quality and profitability.
Melissa has led a wide range of commercial projects across the country, with a specialization in grocery-anchored and mixed-use developments. Her client portfolio includes Giant Eagle, Earth Fare, and Lucky’s Market. She also served as the project architect for the landmark Dania Pointe development in Dania Beach, Florida, managing the project from entitlement through tenant build-out.
She holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Kent State University and is a registered architect in ten U.S. states and the province of Ontario, Canada. Melissa is also an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), staying engaged with industry trends and best practices.
Fun Fact: Outside of work, Melissa is fully immersed in her “soccer mom era,” supporting her two kids in high school and club soccer. During the summer off-season, she enjoys unwinding at the lake with family and friends.
