Kevin James
Chairman of the Board
As President and CEO of the San Francisco office, Kevin James is responsible for client relations as well as the management and administration of staff and projects. Having been part of the mcg team since 1987, Kevin has accumulated a significant project resume including retail, restaurant, mixed-use, hospitality, and institutional work nationwide.
mcg San Francisco is recognized for its commitment to historical preservation and environmental sensitivity demanded by project area residents and clients. This design sensitivity is emphasized in new and restorative projects including noteworthy projects such as the revitalization of Bayfair Mall, San Leandro, CA; Santa Rosa Town Center, Santa Rosa, CA; and the Fifth Street Public Market, Eugene, OR. Other current new projects include Natomas Town Center, Sacramento, CA; The Fountains, Roseville, CA; Nut Tree, Vacaville, CA; Napa Junction, American Cayon, CA; the placement of retail tenants such as Cost Plus World market, Ann Taylor, Office Max, SPortmart and historic buildings throughout San Francisco, CA; and the new Creekside Office Park in San Leandro, CA.
During his tenure at mcg, Kevin has held positions of increasing responsibilities including designer and project manager for projects in the United States and Overseas. Kevin presently serves on the Board of Directors of mcg, where he is actively involved in the guidance of mcg’s regional office.
Kevin attended California State Polytechnic, Pomona and is a licensed architect in the States of California. He is also a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
