Derek Price is a Principal at mcg architecture and leads the firm’s Denver office, bringing nearly 30 years of experience in architecture and design leadership across retail, hospitality, multifamily, senior housing, and mixed-use projects. A LEED Accredited Professional and NCARB certified, Derek is committed to design excellence, sustainability, and professional integrity.

He has partnered with developers, contractors, and institutional clients on projects ranging from boutique hospitality and adaptive reuse to large-scale multifamily and senior housing developments. Derek is experienced in leading multidisciplinary teams, navigating complex entitlements, and delivering projects efficiently in regulated environments.

A strong advocate for technology in design, Derek leverages BIM workflows and emerging digital tools to improve coordination, accuracy, and project outcomes. As Principal, he focuses on expanding mcg’s presence throughout Colorado and the Mountain West while fostering strong client relationships and delivering thoughtful, buildable design solutions.
